These three are Blizzard's own profiles, so they go into the game's Cooldown Manager. Type /cdm, open the dropdown at the bottom left, press Import and paste the string.

Blizzard exports one profile per spec, so import each string while you are on that spec. After that, do not press "Repopulate from Blizzard CDM" in EllesmereUI. It wipes the layout you just imported for the spec you are on.

What AzorUI Is

AzorUI is me, Azor's, UI. I've been playing the game at a top level for over a decade and have always been big into the UI side of the game. This UI is what all those years of experience has turned into, all optimized around max DPS, not dying, and seeing everything clearly so you can be the best possible WoW player.

The UI consists of 8 AddOns. Here is what they each do:

• EllesmereUIThe core of the UI. Unit Frames, Cooldown Manager, Action Bars, Resource Bars, Damage Meter, and a bunch of other smaller skinning and features. By far the most essential AddOn.
• PlatynatorNameplates.
• AzorToolsMy own AddOn. Does stuff that I need that I cannot find in other AddOns. Small fixes for EllesmereUI, Hunter-specific tracking of certain mechanics required to play Hunter perfectly, etc. Kind of an ongoing project.
• Blizzard Edit ModeHandles positioning of a few things that EllesmereUI doesn't, like the Quest Objectives Tracker and other small things. Not absolutely essential, but recommended.
• BigWigsBoss timers and warnings.
• Northern Sky Raid ToolsVarious reminders and tools required for top-end raiding.
• ExBossExpands on BigWigs and is especially useful for high Mythic+ where it gives warnings for trash mechanics etc.
• Mythic Dungeon CastsSmall but excellent AddOn that tracks all enemy casts in Mythic+.
• PlateTweaksRecolours nameplates so you can see Sentinel's Mark at a glance.

My UI Philosophy

I have developed some strong opinions about a good UI over the last 12 years, which this UI embodies:

• If something does not change how you make decisions or play, it does not belong on your screen.
• Most of what makes a good WoW player is seeing things coming and being proactive. Nothing should ever come as a surprise, whether that's class mechanics, boss mechanics, incoming damage or casts, etc.
• The space immediately around your character is sacred and should be kept clean of anything that does not need you to act in a ~3 second span. Being able to clearly see your character in relation to everything else while still being able to glance at your buttons is key.
• Everything should be as legible as possible. Clear, thick fonts, high-contrast colors. Everything kind of "pops" and catches your attention. This is more important than aesthetics to me.

Installation

Get the AddOns, import the strings in order, then check it in game.

1. Install external files

   Not required, but recommended if you want everything to look exactly like mine. Do not launch the game yet.

   • Custom Fonts

     Extract the Fonts folder directly into your _retail_ folder. Overwrite if it is already there.

     European Union and United StatesDownloadChina and South KoreaDownload for Chinese and Korean ClientsOnly needed if your game client is Chinese or Korean.
   • Clean Icons (Mechagnome Edition)

     Download the latest .ZIP and extract the Icons folder into Interface, NOT inside AddOns. Overwrite if it is already there, and create the Interface folder if it does not exist.

2. Get the AddOns

   Install the AddOns first and /reloadUI before you import anything.

   AzorTools is on CurseForge like the others, so an AddOn manager can install it and keep it updated.

   ExBoss requires a second AddOn called EXCore, which is not included by default.

3. Import EllesmereUI first

   EllesmereUI is the most central AddOn of the UI, so I recommend you start there.

   Turn off the EllesmereUI Nameplates module in /eui. Platynator draws the nameplates instead. If you skip it, you will have duplicate nameplates showing.

   EllesmereUI lets you select which Modules you want to update when you import, and unfortunately, importing the Mythic+ Tools module also replaces your own saved best dungeon times. Untick Mythic+ Tools in the import window if you want to keep them. Unticking also means you won't get its position and settings, however, so you may want to take it on your first import and untick it after that.

   Note that profiles are per-character. When you log an alt, you'll need to enter the config of each AddOn (see per-AddOn import steps below) and set the AzorUI profile up. Once you've done it once per character, it's set forever.

4. Paste in the rest

     EllesmereUI

     Type /eui, open Profiles, choose Import Profile, paste the string and press Continue.

   • 
     Platynator

     Type /platy, choose Import, and paste the string.

   • 
     AzorTools

     Type /azt import, paste the string and press Import. /azt undo reverts it if you change your mind.

   • 
     Blizzard Edit Mode

     Import the layout in Edit Mode, then activate it.

     Import the layout in Edit Mode, then activate it. It is not in use just because it imported, and the first time you switch spec you may have to pick it again.

   • 
     BigWigs

     Type /bw to open the BigWigs options, and paste the string into its import box. Then open Auras and tick Disabled yourself. BigWigs has a bug where the string does not carry that setting, and if you have double debuffs right now, this is why.

     Install LittleWigs as well. BigWigs handles raids and LittleWigs handles dungeons, so you want both.

   • 
     Northern Sky Raid Tools

     Type /ns and paste the string into its import box.

   • 
     ExBoss

     Type /exboss and paste the string into its import and export page.

     ExBoss installs several other AddOns, and most of them belong to a separate addon called ExwindTools. In your AddOn list, tick only ExBoss, ExwindCore, EXBossData, EXBOSS-Locale, EXBOSS-LocaleBase and both voice packs, EXBOSS-ENG and EXBOSS-EXWIND. The rest are ExwindTools modules that have nothing to do with this UI, you should disable/delete them.

   • 
     Mythic Dungeon Casts

     Type /mdc, find Import / Export, press Import and paste the string.

   • 
     PlateTweaks

     Type /pt, open Import / Export, paste the string and give it a name under Import as.

   /reloadUI after each import.

5. Check it in game

   I recommend Follower Dungeons for M+ or LFR for quick UI testing in relevant PvE scenarios. Screen recording is great too so you can look back at it and make adjustments and fixes - that's how I built this UI in the first place.

   EllesmereUI sets the UI Scale itself, so the slider in the game's own Advanced Options won't do anything. Change it in /eui > Global Settings > UI Scale instead, and do that before you start dragging frames around by hand.

  • Increased the volume of the M+ audio alerts for Feign, Poison, Disengage and the rest. If you are suddenly hearing some Danish guy and do not want that, you can change the sound or turn it off entirely under /nsrt > Aura Sounds > Dungeons.

  • Added Auto Tank MD: five keybinds, one per tank slot, each casting Misdirection at that tank. Rogues cast Tricks of the Trade, Evokers cast Blistering Scales, Paladins cast Blessing of Freedom, and Druids cast Innervate at healers instead. Set the keys in the Key Bindings window, under Auto Tank MD, and choose how tanks are picked on the new options tab.
  • You can name one player who should always get the first slot. Whenever they are in your group they take it and everybody else moves down one, whatever their role is. Capitals and the realm name do not matter.
  • The options tab shows you the macro to copy, and there is a button that writes it for you under the name Misdirection. If you already have a macro with that name, AzorTools shows you both versions and asks before replacing it, and replacing keeps the macro where it is on your bars.
  • Auto Tank MD is ported from TankMD by Oppzippy, used under the MIT License and with his permission. The buttons keep TankMD's names, so a keybind or a /click macro you already had keeps working. If you still have TankMD installed, AzorTools stands down and leaves it running, so disable TankMD to use this instead.
  • Fixed the bar texture in my imported profiles coming out as the plain Blizzard bar. EllesmereUI has the Melli texture but does not share it with other AddOns, so BigWigs and anything else that stores a texture by name could not find it and fell back to the default without saying anything. AzorTools now shares it under that name whenever EllesmereUI is installed.
  • Fixed the import and export window losing keyboard focus, which made Ctrl+V toggle nameplates instead of pasting. Clicking anywhere in the box puts the cursor back, and a Ctrl+V that arrives while the box is not focused now takes the focus instead of reaching the game.

  • Buff Reminders now show when a raid buff is missing from you or from someone else in the group.
  • Buff Reminder icons sit further apart so their text doesn't overlap.
  • Buffs and debuffs on your target are bigger, up from 22 to 28.
  • Target frame debuffs are no longer limited to the ones you cast, and now come from the tracked debuff filter. This allows you to see if another Hunter has Marked your target.
  • Removed the External Defensives bar and the Bloodlust-only debuff bar from the player aura bars.
  • The player and target frames anchor to the Cooldowns bar now, and the pet frame anchors to the left of the player frame. This should mean that when the Cooldowns bar is smaller for any reason, the player/target frames still attach cleanly to the sides.
  • The target distance display is anchored to the right edge of the target frame.
  • The FPS counter moved from the bottom-right of the minimap to the bottom to not overlap with the difficulty text.
  • Chat history no longer saves between sessions. Improves loading times.
  • The target cast bar no longer shows the exact timer, as I did not find it especially useful and it caused the cast name to be shortened in an ugly way.
